22 West Television produced an award-winning episode of Long Beach Underground featuring local alt-rock band Kidd Electric in Spring 2025. The episode showcases a four-song live set and a studio interview, all executed by the 22 West TV student team.
Since joining 22 West Media, Dr. Whitten has expanded the station’s multi-camera studio programming, with Long Beach Underground serving as a flagship example of how hands-on mentorship, high production value, and student creativity can converge to elevate campus media.
